What Is the Elysium Zone?
Elysium is Therme’s “spa inside the spa” — the quietest, most grown-up corner of the whole complex. No children, no slide noise drifting in from the distance. Just warm mineral water, soft light, and a ring of saunas that feel more like small rituals than “facilities”.
The heart of the zone is the Se & Zn panoramic pool on the upper level. The water is enriched with selenium and zinc, you’ve got views over The Palm below, and there’s a pool bar built right into the edge. You float there with a drink, watch the steam, and suddenly the rest of Therme feels very far away.
Around it you’ve got themed saunas with different temperatures, scents and atmospheres, plus lounges — Panoramic, Sunset, Flower — where people mostly read, nap, or just stare into space for a while. When you get hungry, you slip into The Mango Tree restaurant: proper sit-down, Thai-inspired dishes, calmer lighting, robe still on.
Elysium at a Glance – Key Stats
- Premium, adults-only wellness zone on the upper level
- Panoramic Se & Zn mineral pool with built-in pool bar
- Around 10 saunas, including multiple themed rooms (Himalaya, Amazon, Bavaria, Provence, Alhambra, Hollywood, etc.)
- Dedicated relaxation lounges: Panoramic, Sunset, Flower and more
- Access to The Palm and Galaxy automatically included with any Elysium ticket
- À la carte Mango Tree restaurant in the same zone
- Focus on Aufguss sessions, rituals and body treatments rather than “attractions”
Who Is the Elysium Zone For?
- Couples who want a quieter, more intimate spa day
- Sauna lovers who actually read the program and plan around rituals
- People who tried The Palm once and now want “one level calmer”
- Travellers who see Therme as a full wellness day, not just a quick swim
- Anyone who likes the idea of a panoramic mineral pool, cocktail in hand, no kids splashing nearby
If you read all this and thought “yes, that’s me”, you’re squarely in Elysium territory.
Age Rules in Elysium
The rules here are pretty straightforward:
- Elysium is 14+ only – no children, no exceptions
- Body treatments and massages are generally for 18+, since they’re booked as spa services
- Every Elysium ticket includes The Palm and Galaxy, so you can still visit the other zones if you want more movement or slides
So you don’t bring the whole family up here. You come with your partner, a friend, or just by yourself, and you use the time for what Elysium is built for: saunas, rituals, long soaks, and very slow hours.

Wellness
Elysium’s wellness area is basically a sauna world wrapped around a quiet mineral pool. You move between the Alhambra, Himalaya, Provence, Hollywood, Amazon, Bavaria, Tropical Rain, A Terra, Ad Astra and Aegir saunas — each with its own temperature, light and scent — and it feels less like “trying different rooms” and more like walking through moods. In the middle, the Se & Zn Pool is your anchor: warm, mineral-enriched water, bar on the edge, people half-floating and not really in a hurry to leave. Between rounds you cool off in the Calla Shower, then drift back through the corridor of treatment rooms, where all the massages and longer rituals live. It’s the part of Therme that actually slows you down, even if you arrived thinking you’d just “check it out for an hour”.

Relaxation
This is where Elysium goes from “nice spa” to “I could stay here all day”. The Sunset Lounge, Panoramic Lounge and Flower Lounge are all quiet rooms with soft light and long, comfortable chairs — some with views over The Palm, some more tucked away. You slip out of the sauna, cool down in the Calla Shower, maybe float a bit in the Se & Zn Pool, then vanish into a lounger and forget what time it is. The nearby treatment rooms are the next step up: once you’ve had a massage there, going back to normal seating feels a bit… basic.

Food & Drinks
Elysium even eats differently. You’ve got The Mango Tree Restaurant for the “let’s actually sit down and have a real meal” moments — Thai-inspired dishes, slower service, robe-friendly but still a bit special. Then there’s the Se & Zn Pool Bar, which is the opposite vibe: you’re half-floating in warm mineral water, glass in hand, and the idea of leaving the pool before you really have to suddenly feels very optional.

Outdoor
Outside, Elysium keeps things simple on purpose. The Sunset Lounge stretches towards the open air, with that soft evening light and a calmer view over the outdoor areas below. You step out warm from the saunas or the Se & Zn pool, breathe real fresh air for a minute, wrap your robe a bit tighter and just stand there. It’s not a big “attraction” in the loud sense — more a place to let your body cool down and your head clear.

Activities
Elysium is where Therme really leans into “programmed wellness” instead of just “sit in a pool”. You’ve got sauna infusions and Aufguss sessions (things like Woody Infusion, Citrus Breeze, Journey of Senses, Aufguss Show, Herbarium, Siberian, Freestyle, all those names you see on the board) where the sauna master turns a normal heat session into a kind of short ritual with scents, steam and towel work. Those are usually included in your Elysium access — you just show up at the right sauna, at the right time. Then there’s the massage and body treatment side: general therapeutic massage, hot stone, bamboo, ventosa cupping, “Therme Signature” treatments, men’s and women’s skin care, K-Beauty facials, more targeted options like Siberian Cold Massage or Mineral Massage. These are longer, hands-on treatments and they come at an extra cost, booked for a set time in the treatment rooms.
