Best Time to Visit Therme Bucharest
Best Time of Year to Visit
- Spring to Autumn (April–September): These months offer the most favorable weather, especially for enjoying the outdoor pools and the urban beach. However, this period also sees the highest number of visitors.
- Winter (October–March): While the weather is cooler, the spa’s indoor facilities remain open, and the crowds are thinner, providing a more relaxed experience.
Best Time of Day to Visit
- Morning (Opening Time): Arriving right when Therme opens allows you to enjoy the facilities before the crowds arrive. This is particularly beneficial for capturing photos without many people in the background.
- Afternoon to Evening: These hours tend to be busier, especially on weekends. Visitor numbers peak during these times, leading to longer wait times and more crowded areas.
Weekday vs. Weekend
- Weekdays (Monday–Thursday): Generally less crowded, offering a more serene and enjoyable experience. Ticket prices are also lower during these days.
Jess Eats The World - Weekends (Friday–Sunday): Expect higher visitor numbers, especially in the afternoon and evening. This can lead to a more vibrant atmosphere but may detract from the relaxing experience.
Accessibility
The Galaxy and The Palm zones are located on the ground level (Level 0) and generally offer access for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues. There are washrooms in those areas that are designed to support visitors who need accessibility features.
The Elysium zone is on an upper level and is not accessible for wheelchairs. This applies to both movement around the zone and many of its facilities such as saunas, treatment rooms, etc.
Facilities
On arrival, you receive an RFID bracelet that acts as your access pass, locker key, and payment method. Everything from food and drinks to extras can be charged to it and settled when you leave.
- There is free Wi-Fi throughout the complex so you can stay connected.
- Changing rooms are spacious and available in each zone. You’ll find showers, bathrooms, changing cabins.
- Lockers are provided where you can safely store small personal items. The locker number is linked to your bracelet.
- For larger luggage or items too big for lockers, there is a luggage storage room.
- First aid services are available in each of the three zones.
- There are shops on site — if you forget swimwear, slippers, floaties, goggles, etc., you can buy them. Also you can rent towels/robes.
Food at Therme Bucharest
Restaurant Options
- The Mango Tree (Elysium) offers a fusion “creative Thai-cuisine” style dining à la carte. You’ll find dishes like shrimp bisque, red curry, lobster risotto, and vegan desserts made with mango and coconut.

It includes multiple cuisine corners (Asian/Sushi, Mediterranean/Fish & Seafood, American Steak & Burgers) and live-cooking stations. The setting is lavish, with exotic plants, natural light, and indoor + terrace spaces.
- Greens Restaurant is more family-friendly, offering a relaxed atmosphere among palm trees, with a variety of dishes: salads, grilled fish, rotisserie, BBQ wings, fresh desserts, ice cream, etc. Good if you want something more casual.
Cafés & Light Refreshments
- There is a Well Café in the Elysium zone, which serves smoothies, natural juices, specialty coffee, drinks with electrolytes, and things meant to hydrate and refresh.
